German chip maker Infineon has reached an agreement with XIAOMI-W (01810.HK) to supply advanced power chips to the company until 2027. Infineon said it will supply silicon carbide chips and modules, as well as a variety of key microcontroller chips for XIAOMI's electric vehicles. XIAOMI noted that deepening cooperation with Infineon will not only help stabilise the supply of silicon carbide for its EVs, but also help XIAOMI to produce high-performance, safe and reliable vehicles.
