BABA-SW Cancels 618 Pre-sale, Re-opens Taobao's Website: Report

Two major e-commerce platforms, naming Taobao and JD-SW (09618.HK), canceled their 618 pre-sales, according to rumors spread earlier. BABA-SW (09988.HK)'s Taobao Tmall Group big promotion project team announced at the business conference that the rules of 2024 618 Shopping Festival promotion were adjusted, including the cancellation of pre-sale, and a direct sale on 20 May at 8pm, with a full price guarantee, according to LatePost. Another adjustment is to reopen Taobao's website, the report said.
