CN May Raw Coal Output of Industries Above Designate Scale Surges 4.2% YoY, Power Generation Hikes 0.5%

China's raw coal output of industries above the designate scale increased by 4.2% YoY to 400 million tons in May, with the growth rate accelerating by 0.4 ppts compared to April, according to the National Bureau of Statistics. The average daily output was 13.01 million tons, while the total output for 5M25 was 1.99 billion tons, up 6% YoY.

In May, power generation of industries above the designate scale climbed by 0.5% YoY to 737.8 billion kWh, with the growth rate slowing by 0.4 ppts compared to April. The average daily power generation was 23.8 billion kWh, while the total power generation for 5M25 was 3.73 trillion kWh, up 0.3% YoY.
