The HSI ticked up 168 points or 0.7% to close at 24,060. The HSCEI gained 74 points or 0.9% to close at 8,729. The HSTECH hiked 60 points or 1.1% to close at 5,299. Total market turnover for the day was $229.241 billion. Pharma WUXI BIO (02269.HK) stumbled 5.4% to $26.5 as its major shareholder sold 82.94 million shares at a 5% discount, cashing in more than $2.2 billion. BEIGENE (06160.HK) and SINO BIOPHARM (01177.HK) faded 2.8% and 3.8%, while CMS (00867.HK), AKESO (09926.HK) and HENGRUI PHARMA (01276.HK) climbed 2.9-3.7%. For automakers, XIAOMI-W (01810.HK) elevated 4.2% to $54.15 as it is set to launch the YU7 within this month. BYD COMPANY (01211.HK) dropped 1% to $129.6, while battery stock CATL (03750.HK) lost 1.5% to $308.4. XPENG-W (09868.HK) and NIO-SW (09866.HK) each lifted 1.9%.
