CPCA Cui Dongshu: CN 8M25 NEV Exports Beat Forecast

In August 2025, China's NEV exports amounted to 315,000 units, up 83% YoY, representing well performance, Cui Dongshu, Secretary-General of the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA), said. In 8M25, the export volume of NEVs was 2.02 million units, up 51% YoY, which is faster than the 24% growth rate in the same period of 2024. Cui explained that the better-than-expected NEV export performance of China in 8M25 was mainly due to the replacement of BEVs by PHEVs and HEVs as new growth drivers for exports.
