Sinopec announced that the Nanchuan Shale Gas Field has achieved a cumulative gas output exceeding 10 billion cubic meters after eight years of efficient exploration and development. Located in Nanchuan District, Chongqing, this gas field targets the Wufeng-Longmaxi formations, with shale buried at depths ranging from 1,000 to 5,000 meters.
